ABOUT OC+BOUDOIR

All women who arrive here are not models.

They are women with full lives. Careers, families, responsibilities. Somewhere along the way, many have simply stopped seeing themselves the way others do.

Boudoir is not about becoming someone new.
It is about creating space to see yourself clearly again.

At OC+BOUDOIR, every session is designed as a personal reset. A moment where women step outside the noise of everyday life and reconnect with themselves through an experience that is private, supportive, and thoughtfully guided.

You do not need to know how to pose.
You do not need to feel ready.

You simply arrive. We guide you through the rest.

Founded in 2012, OC+BOUDOIR has grown into one of Kentucky’s most recognized boudoir studios. Our work has been featured in bridal publications and professional showcases, including Image USA where OC+BOUDOIR became the first boudoir photography presented in WHCC’s national booth.

In 2024 and again in 2025, OC+BOUDOIR was awarded Best of Boudoir, a recognition judged by industry peers.

Winning back to back became a turning point. It pushed the experience even further beyond photography and deeper into what truly matters. Creating an environment where women feel supported, respected, and confident in front of the camera.

For more than a decade women have trusted OC+BOUDOIR to celebrate milestones, document personal growth, and rediscover themselves through imagery that feels powerful and refined.

This is more than photography.
It is a shift in perspective.

WHO ARE WE
I’m Carrie — the photographer, creative force, and slightly sarcastic heart behind OC+BOUDOIR.

I grew up in Paducah, Kentucky, and my path into photography wasn’t accidental. It came from something deeply personal. Watching someone I love struggle with self-worth shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time. It planted a quiet promise in me: if I ever had the ability to show women how powerful they truly are, I would.

That promise became OC+BOUDOIR.

For over a decade, I’ve worked with women in every season of life celebrations, heartbreak, milestones, reinvention. My approach isn’t about trendy poses or surface-level confidence. It’s about understanding the psychology behind how we see ourselves… and gently shifting it.

I guide you through every pose. I fix the straps. I move the light. I hype you up when you need it and steady you when you don’t believe what I see.
Outside the studio, you’ll find me lifting at the gym, obsessing over my plants, or spending time with my husband my constant for over two decades and our fur babies. I’m direct, a little sarcastic, and always honest. What you see is what you get.
But inside this experience?
You are handled with care.
Because at the core of everything I do is one belief:
You don’t need to become someone else to be powerful.
You just need to see yourself clearly.

And that’s what I’m here for.

Kristen is the creative talent behind the flawless hair and makeup at OC+BOUDOIR.

Her artistry goes far beyond foundation and lashes. She has a rare ability to enhance what’s already there never masking, never overpowering just refining and elevating your natural beauty in a way that photographs effortlessly and feels authentic.

With years of experience working alongside Carrie, Kristen understands the flow of a boudoir session. She knows how lighting will hit the skin, how hair moves on camera, and how small details make a dramatic difference in the final image.

Outside the studio, Kristen’s personality is anything but ordinary from stilt-walking at a scare park to constantly diving into new creative hobbies, she brings a playful edge and adventurous spirit into everything she does.
Her goal is simple: for you to feel calm in her chair and powerful when you stand up from it.

When you book with OC+BOUDOIR, Kristen ensures you don’t just look incredible .... you feel it.
THE RESET
Over the years, this work has evolved.....and so has the way I approach it.

After more than a decade specializing exclusively in boudoir, the work reached a moment of recognition when OC+BOUDOIR was awarded Best of Boudoir by the Association of International Boudoir Photographers in both 2024 and 2025 an honor judged by peers within the industry.

While recognition like that is deeply meaningful, it also created a moment of reflection.

Success has a way of asking a new question:
What does the next level look like?

For me, the answer was clear.

Boudoir was never meant to feel routine.

It deserves atmosphere. Privacy. Environments that feel elevated and thoughtfully chosen spaces where women can step outside the noise of daily life and into something more intentional.

That shift came from understanding something deeper about this art form.

Boudoir is deeply personal.

When a woman chooses to step into it, she is offering trust not only in how she will be photographed, but in how she will be held within a vulnerable space. She is allowing someone to witness parts of herself she may still be learning to accept.

That kind of trust isn’t built on trends or pretty backdrops.

It’s built on experience.
On years devoted to a single craft.
On knowing how to guide someone with calm authority while protecting their dignity and comfort.

And when the experience is complete, something subtle but powerful happens.

The way you see yourself shifts.
The way you speak about yourself softens.
The way you carry yourself becomes steadier.

Women often arrive with hesitation. They leave standing a little taller not because they became someone new, but because they finally saw themselves without the noise of doubt.

This experience isn’t about reinvention.

It’s about returning to yourself with clarity.

And that requires the right environment and the right artist — to guide it well.
